How the UNF Bootcamp Works
The part-time UNF DevOps Bootcamp, powered by Fullstack Academy, is designed for students to pursue high-quality tech education while continuing to balance work or other commitments. Our program provides you with the flexibility to fit career development into your life.
- Bootcamp classes combine live online instruction with group and independent active learning challenges—all facilitated by industry-experienced professionals.

All classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
7:30pm-10:30pm ET
In addition to classroom lessons, part-time students can anticipate spending about 20 hours studying and working on outside assignments each week.

Tuition

As a part of the DevOps bootcamp, students will be prepared to earn the most in-demand industry certifications. Taking these certifications is optional but highly recommended for career success. Students can choose to take certification exams during or directly after the program.
AWS Certified Developer - Associate
This certification validates your understanding of core AWS uses and foundational AWS proficiency, such as developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications.AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
With this certification, you demonstrate your understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework as well as cost and performance optimizations.
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
This certification proves your ability to implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS, as well as your knowledge of cost and performance optimizations using AWS systems.
Exam costs for the AWS certification examinations are not included in the program tuition.

Yes, the UNF DevOps Bootcamp is beginner-friendly. It’s specifically designed for professionals who have no previous experience in coding. While some background knowledge is helpful, the only expectation is that students have general computer literacy skills in basics like efficiently using the Internet/cloud and Windows.

Taking each certification exam is optional but highly recommended for career success. If you feel ready, take the exams as you go through the bootcamp. Otherwise, we recommend earning the certifications soon after you graduate.

No, Tech Bootcamps at the University of North Florida are not for credit and cannot be applied toward a degree or certificate program. Rather, they’re offered through the the University of Florida Division of Continuing Education and facilitated by Fullstack Academy instructors and staff to provide in-demand tech skills training for current or prospective tech professionals.

No, part-time bootcamp students cannot mix and match class dates or times. You must select one of the established schedule options for your cohort of choice during the application process.
